  1. Because they’re able to speak their mind and call a spade a spade sometimes. They also tend to be better judge of character because they make less excuses for people.

  2. Dems are also against school choice making kids stay in terrible schools rather than letting them go to nice ones to actually get an education.

  3. School choice also is an issue with inner city schools. The Dems are saying that it would take funding away from their schools, but that’s only because then their kids can go to the good schools. The argument against school choice is basically “we like the unions” and nothing more and that doesn’t earn you votes.

  5. It takes very little of loss in the black vote to cost Dems the election. In 2020 in a deep blue urban area Dems had signs up telling black men to not vote for Trump even if they wanted to - basically guilt tripping them.

  6. It’s about the vote margins being shaved away. It’s still a minority but even a small shift can cause the Dems the election which is why it’s always a focus.
