  2. HFCS doesn’t “gunk up your insides” it is a net energy output with no energy input. Typically, (with cane sugar) your body takes sugar, breaks it down to fructose using 2 energy, then that glucose is used to give your body 4 energy for a total of 2 net energy. High fructose corn syrup skips the energy input and gives you 4 energy output so your body is essentially getting free energy which gets stored as fat for future use. It has nothing to do with the physical properties of the syrup.
