  1. This is the same for many martial arts. Women do tend to fair fairly well in most because they have quite a bit of practice against men - men not nearly as much against women who have to move differently.

  2. I fought against men in sport karate when I was a teen. Black belt and beyond we could typically hold our own, women were smaller and could dodge better, men had more brute strength but that didn’t matter. When it was for points alone women were competitive, but if it was for extended combat or strength alone we couldn’t compete.

  3. I was hopeful about my daughter getting into roller derby when she’s older. They start at 5 but clearly say that trans kids are allowed. Sorry - my 5 year old can compete against other 5 year old girls who fall on their butts every 2 minutes.
