  1. When I lived in Milwaukee and car theft was so common there was a 50/50 if you got in an accident that the other car would flee, probably a 25% that both cars would flee. There were usually half a dozen cars you’d see on the highway even for a short sprint that would have no plates and disappear the moment a cop got on the road. We saw at least 1 crash a year that were obviously stolen cars involved most were hit and runs. My nurse had her car stolen 8 times in a year. She knew who was doing it, it was her kids friends but they got 0 punishment and cops usually didn’t bother with it.

  2. There are many cars that are repeatedly stolen that’s one thing to keep in mind. Some people never learn. My nurse had hers stolen 8 times and she knew who did it every time (her son’s friends).
