+Emanuele Croci Well, in a way, it tests how much faster (in this case) the Astra has become over the years, in comparison to the Golf and the MX-5 that came before it. But doing that in an MX-5 is pointless, as the point of that car is that it's rapid, but not fast. Thus, the overall improvement is quite small. Putting the fastest version of the old model up against the slowest version of the new one is silly as well.

Jonathan Kumar She's hardly a supermodel, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything, does it?

+GT6SuzukaTimeTrials Well, she's not good at changing gear and her voice needs to be gotten used to, but I agree she should become a regular.

GT6SuzukaTimeTrials It's not her accent (which I, as a Dutch fan of the British accent, love), but it's the high-pitched voice that does it for some people. I didn't mind anymore after a few minutes.

Jonathan Kumar It does? Why?

Jonathan Kumar Who cares? The majority isn't always right. Of course, keeping your audience is important from a channel's point of view, but that doesn't mean the audience is right.

Jonathan Kumar I believe she mentioned the car's appearence when she said muscle car. Not the car itself. Well, those are quite important flaws. Tests like these shouldn't be done by her, given that she's not exactly the most talented driver in the world. But everything else can be easily done by her. I don't see why she'd be inferior to the others there, even without regarding the looks and stuff.

Jonathan Kumar See, it's that sort of videos she should be doing. Or just ones of regular cars, in which she drives on a road at a normal pace.

Jonathan Kumar She's just as good as everyone else. Except she's better to look at. Plus it keeps the social justice warriors away as well, which I would say is quite important in a world obsessed with political correctness.

Jonathan Kumar He's right, she's pretty. And how hard can it be to read things off an autocue or learn them off a piece of paper beforehand? She'd be good at testing Golfs and stuff, not being distracted by the car enthusiast that might lie in the other presenters.
1
Jonathan Kumar What does she lack in the BMW M2 video? And what would she lack when testing Golfs and Astras and Cee-apostrophe-d's and stuff?
1
Jonathan Kumar To be honest, the comparison is quite off. Reviewing hot hatches is completely different from reviewing regular hatches. Although I'd have another (equally or more pretty) woman over this one most of the time, if she were a really good driver and more passionate, so she can review nice cars too. Then again, how often do you find one? Sadly, petrolhead girls are rare ;)

yomammaspoodle Well, you could use it as a measure of whether they've improved 'enough'. Granted, 'enough' is a disputable term here, with the aforementioned MX-5 being a great example, but it does add a bit of a nice twist. I like seeing the old ones win, it makes me feel good somehow.
