  1. Petar Stankovic It may be abstract, but the BMW is more fun, if that makes more sense to you. Fun is better than sheer speed. Speed gives you bragging rights; fun makes you happy.

  2. Petar Stankovic I'm not determining for others what is fun. Others are determining what is generally considered as fun. I'm just saying what opinion I mostly see. Thing is, rational superiority doesn't necessarily make a car better. Alfa Romeo is the living proof of this.

  4. Petar Stankovic You could argue that, but most people will agree that the BMW is more fun, as it's more of an occasion. The Audi is mostly just impressive. It's the difference between an excellent singer and a comedian; who would you rather hang out with?

  5. Petar Stankovic They should advise which one to buy. Due to abstract arguments like soul and character, it somewhat comes down to the opinion of the reviewer which one you should buy. When giving such advice, though, they ought to try and accustom their verdict to the general demands of the target audience (usually the dominant opinion within the automotive consumerbase as a whole, unless the magazine is specialised). Most people will agree that RWD is better, nicer or at least more fun. Not all of them will, but by saying the M6 is better for its RWD, they'll give good advice to a larger part of their audience.

  6. Petar Stankovic People generally don't like what's better for them. That's why McDonalds exists. Or most restaurants in general. Petrolheads are heavily biased towards RWD, but most people who like cars enough to buy a car that's in every rational way inferior to the equivalent estate (that would be the M5 Touring or the RS6) will agree with that. Not all, but most. If we're going to judge cars completely rationally, a table with numbers is pretty much enough. No need for a review, just a quick summary of what they're like to drive.
