Roxanne Gay should visit Africa for a year or two, I bet if she followed the average diet in an African country, she would see what real struggle is, it would be good for her, to be among folks who cannot eat themselves super, morbidly obese because there simply isn't enough food! Real struggles, instead of 'I didn't fit in my chair' . She needs some real perception in her life, instead of whinging about how fat she is. There would be a good book in this journey too

  2. Oh c'mon, the excuses come thick and often with this one, she is contradicting herself with every comment...all of you slim, healthy people who follow her...she HATES you! That also goes for any celebs that back her up, she hates them too...

  3. Having a thyroid issue does not have to be an excuse, people get obese from only one cause, over-eating. It's not water retention, it's fat, blubber from eating over 10,000 calories, more! a day. The pressure on the inside of the body is phenomenal. Our skeleton is not designed to withstand 300kg. The term 'big-boned' is also misleading, bones only differ by mm's. A quick look at x-rays of obese folks is disturbing, I'm not sure how the knees can handle the pressure tbh.

  4. ~ 100% agree...she wouldn't last 3 days in Africa, without her favourite snacks...the shame of eating more than her fair share, in front of hungry African children...still wouldn't stop her! She has a massive sugar addiction, like most fat people, she just wouldn't last a week, let alone a year 😞

  5.  @jph4889  ~ most people don't hate the 'person' anyway, just what they do. Drug addicts don't have to be so careless and behave so atrociously ... putting the rest of us at risk, do they?

  6.  @jph4889  ~ why not? They leave used needles everywhere and shit on the foot-paths around themselves, what is to like about a junkie? They also leave their plastic drug deal bags on the ground too, occasionally dropping full ones, my neighbors dog, on leash, having walkies one afternoon, ate a packet it found and over-dosed, it was a nice dog too...
