  9.  @mommyoftrips  ~ unfortunately, more black children are mauled to DEATH by pitbulls each year, FACTS! Not that any kids deserve death by canine homicide, just facts. Approx. 35 people are killed by dogs each year in the US alone, by pet dogs! Adlround 30 of those by pit 'type' dogs, the heavy jawed, maulers, not 'multiple' biters, like German Shepherds, huskys etc. Oh yes those dogs can still kill you, but nowhere near as easily or regularly.

  15. I believe these people are not really.... they looked fairly decent tbh, just another misled American family who thinks that a pitbull is a 'safe' breed to have, even though the dog was aggressive enough to warrant attention, they STILL won't realize they can and will kill, human beings...

  16. The thing is, pitbulls kill approx. 30 people every year in the US. Another 5 (approx.) are killed by other breeds (some years a German Shepherd is responsible) generally it's a Rottweiler or Husky etc. that makes up the "other 5" . Pit type dogs have a massive jaw power, not a 'lock-jaw' just so strong, it feels like it! Is It is usually the dogs with 'pit' in them that kills humans, that breed is what gives them the jaw power to maul a human to death. German Shepherd dogs are NOT renowned to kill people, they are 'multiple' biters, bite, bite, bite, not maulers, the dogs that hang on and shake to death.

  23.  @LFL-qp1fg  ~ you don't have to 'train' a pitbull to be viscous, they are friendly until they 'snap' at a friggen sneeze or a door slamming, another dog just walking by, you shouldn't have to train your pooch to not maul children or others dogs, we all know, a pit-type dog can kill all others, no? Why have a domestic dog that will/can kill a person? Over 30+ a year in the US alone! Other breeds are responsible for the other '5' plus deaths each year, pitbulls KILL people! Why deny the facts?

Come on champ, cough up... every single year, toddlers, elderly, disabled (in their 'scary' mobile scooters' etc. Yeah you can say rjey are × breeds eyc. but it's largely the 'pit' in them, they bite/maul too hard for people to recover from

  28.  @TheLauren3305  ~ pitbulls make up approximately 6.5% of dogs in the US. They are in other countries too (which haven't banned them) but don't worry, they kill people in other countries too. Pitbulls have killed 100's of people in the past 10+ years in the US

  29.  jai yen yen  ~ i agree with your last bit, the 'dogmen' of yesteryear would never tolerate canine aggression, they were the ones in the pit with the dogs! Any human aggression was not tolerated. They were specifically bred for dog fighting, they were only small back then (up to 1960's early 70's) around 15 kg, those dogs could fight for hours!! Deep chests (not wide) but they would go on for the 'scratch' like a boxing match? If the pitbull was 'game' and still wanted to fight? Well they'd let them go back at it! Not much blood either cos their owner would wade in after the 'scratch' was finished.... probably 3 minute rounds, sorry i cannot remember?

But he even calls them 'family' pets! Uh uh sorry not no more!, too dangerous, I hope you getting what I'm saying? Not for average people to own....what a shame?

So many turn on a family member with dire consequences... they are maulers as opposed to 'multiple' biters (most other breeds) people die from a pit 'bites' they just were bred to not let go! Please I don't mean to sound rude, but I would rather be bitten by any other breed! Maybe? Apart from a presa canario, dogo argentino, akita, corso etc. But really... a game pitbull will beat any of these bigger breeds!

I'm in Australia, the APBT is banned but not the American Staffordshire (AmStaff) do you think they are the same breed? The AmStaff is certainly bigger? Then again people seem to prefer giant pits these days too! Like 'Hulk' hahaha I think I heard that his pups have sold for half a million bucks? That cannot be correct...

  50. But who can look after these "1000's" of dogs that could/would be put down? There are not enough homes for friendly, non-biting dogs, dogs that cannot kill a person and have no inclination to do so? Who are the people that can put themselves at risk of possible death to try and 'change' the dogs behavior? No one has the time!
