My biggest issue with the way Cenk is framing this situation is how he's making it seem like the guy was in such a deep sleep, that he was probably in a state of grogginess and all he knows is people are in house and he needs to defend himself. So he had enough wherewithal to grab for the gun. Which means he had enough wherewithal to hear the police yelling "police. Search warrant". So there should be no reason why he should go for the gun to begin with.
