  1. While, generally, I am against the death penalty, I have to admit to thinking that, in the case of treason against one’s government, perhaps it’s not such a bad idea. For example, I can imagine either a firing squad or group hanging for those in our government who have called for an insurrection on our democracy, and those still active in the government supporting that insurrection. I can imagine it near the entrance to the Capitol, the same place said insurrection “allegedly” took place took place…in my imagination.
