  1. ⁠​⁠ @Descalabro  Absolutely right, except it depends on which people you’re talking about. If it’s for the very wealthy and corporations (which are “people” according to the Supreme Court, unbelievably) and for the manufacturers that make weapons of war, bombs, fighter jets, and oil-drilling rigs (for wars in Middle Eastern countries that have oil, then, I imagine the soldiers would be told they’re fighting for their country’s “people”). But it’s never, ever for the working-class taxpayers that wars are fought, except, as you say, it’s when their own country is under attack.
