  1. I remember those days, too. “Duck and Cover” drills. Funny thing is, I lived in Kansas at the time, and later thought it was for in case of a tornado (MUCH more likely than a nuclear attack, even though we lived near a military base) because my poor little childhood mind couldn’t comprehend a nuclear attack. Sadly, children these days fully understand the dangers of a mass shooting. Dark times, indeed.
