  2.  @LynetteA68  I’ve always said the U.S. never signed a treaty with the Native Americans that it wasn’t willing to break; on one occasion, the very next day, “thanks” to Andrew Jackson. The book A People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn (which is, overall, an incredible read, and I highly, highly recommend it) goes into pretty good detail on their treatment, which has always been appalling,even to this day.

  3. As do migrants working here, who never get the benefits from that, like Social Security. Funny, how, as Americans, we’re always taught about “fairness”, as if it’s not only something we aspire to but actually practice, whereas, in reality, there seems to be very little of it that our government uses regarding The People, especially minorities, and women, unless literally forced to (usually by using shame) by those minorities, like getting Civil Rights for Black Americans. And, speaking of women, they are considered a “minority”, however they make up 51% of the U.S. population, which means that, not only are they NOT a minority, they’re the MAJORITY.
