Equal means equal. Period. Not “extra” for some. Get your facts straight. The Amendment says, exactl, “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex”. Period, end of story. Where do you see “extra” rights for some in that text? It’s the “radical” notion that women are PEOPLE. What a concept, huh?

What is your point here? The Equal Rights Amendment says “Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Period. That is the text of the Equal Rights Amendment. Where do you see any delineation between “equality” and “equity” there? Yes, there is a difference, but it doesn’t have anything to do with this amendment or anything to do with it’s passage or legality.

And evil is for inequality between people for some arbitrary measure, so I am against that. And trump was against the Equal Rights Amendment in 2020 when Virginia became the 38th state (the last one needed) to ratify it, and he called Bill Barr and told him to call the Archivist and tell him (it was a man at that time) NOT to put it in the Constitution. So, yeah, that was evil.

Yes, it was, because Virginia became the 38th state to ratify it in 2020. BUT, trump immediately called Bill Barr and told him to call the Chief Archivist (at the time - we have a new one now) and tell him to NOT put the ERA into the Constitution. (Because trump had promised the evangelicals that he would get rid of Roe v. Wade, which he did, and Roe could NOT have been overturned if the ERA was in the Constitution)). I would like someone to explain to me how the President has that right to do that, but that’s what happened (and that was BEFORE SCOTUS said whatever the President does is OK). And, if Trump, apparently, had that right, why can Joe Biden not now call Merrick Garland and tell him to call the Chief Archivist and tell her to go ahead and put the ERA into the Constitution, especially now that SCOTUS has said that anything the President does regarding his “official duties” is OK to do. So my opinion is that Biden has that same right…now.
