  1. I can imagine that a lot of young women who could possibly get pregnant will be moving out of Florida, too. Even if they’re married and want a child, there’s no guarantee that they won’t have a miscarriage (approximately 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage) that, if not removed, can cause the mother to die.

What “stuff”? And whatever “stuff” she’s going to do in office her first day has to be a WHOLE lot better than telling us he wants to be a dictator on day one! (As if he would give up being a dictator on day two! 😂

  7.  @Aspirintax  Guilting people is not a positive method to get anyone to help you. The people who were able to escape Germany in WWII didn’t cause their country to lose. It was their insane leader who caused that. And, he has a family. I think they take priority over strangers.

SMH! Think Reagan as well as trump. And, even Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor of California. All were terrible, although many people still think Reagan was great, when in reality, he was a monster, and Arnold seems like a really nice guy in person, but he nearly wrecked California’s economy.

  15.  @dracodraco1982 It’s pretty typical cult behavior, and the internet has made it even easier to spread the hate and vitriol. I think some people are just more immune to that thinking, as evidenced by the many people here in just a comment section. Thank whatever that we are able to keep our minds safe and not easily manipulable. Must be intelligence and/or education, and I think imagination and curiosity also play a big part.

  18.  @johnelectric933  Yes, the War did have a lot to do with it. But Bernie has also been a Senator for many, many years, so he knows how the system works. He didn’t just walk in off the street. And FDR’s ideas weren’t all his; in fact, they were the ideas of one of his top advisors, a woman named Frances Perkins (I can’t remember her exact position in the Administration right now), but she’s the one who came up with the idea of Social Security and a few other of his top improvements. (I’ve got a book about her, I just haven’t read it yet).

  22. This is terrifying, but not surprising. I’ve said all along that trump wants to be a dictator like his pals Putin and Kim, and this Plan 2025 would hand him that power on a silver platter. We simply cannot allow this to happen. If it does happen, my Personal Action Plan is to leave the country. I hope either Canada, Mexico, New Zealand or Australia, or Spain, Portugal or Italy (I would be happy to learn a new language, plus I’m already fairly competent in Spanish) would take a couple of aging seniors into their country as an amnesty or refugee situation. I will go to any country that will accept us, because after living in this country for 73 years, it will no longer be recognizable to me, and I wouldn’t be able to bear the loss. My father fought for our democracy in WWII, and these people will spit on and destroy everything all our soldiers have fought for in every war. Please, stand up against this takeover, with your votes, and whatever else it might take.

Maybe start an organization to help Americans re-build, afterward.

  34. ⁠ @marcux83  Funny thing about that, I recently learned (from Thom Hartmann, a historian, on YT) that Reagan was given a “Mandate for Leadership” (which is the head, or lead, title of Project 2025) in 1981 by the same Heritage Foundation that created Project 2025, and that Reagan adopted 80% of it. Explains a lot, doesn’t it? Especially about the Education Department plans. Reagan caused the beginning of “the dumbing down of America” (per the Heritage Foundation), and now they want to do away with the Department of Education completely. It also explains a lot about the “trickle down” economics that Reagan implemented. Or, as one of my other favorite YT content creators, a woman lawyer named Leeja Miller, says: Reagan ruined everything.

  37. They’re not just “dictating what healthcare is appropriate for people”, they’re only dictating what healthcare is appropriate for WOMEN. Men can do or get whatever they want or need medically (if they can afford it, of course), but women. Oh no, they’ve got to control every aspect of their lives, no matter how personal. If they think this way about women, they can’t honestly deny that they hate women.

Only about a third of us are seriously MAGA, a third of us don’t seem to want to know anything about anything, and the rest of us are very anti-trump and MAGA, and we are working hard to dismantle the hold they have on our government.   50. Yes, we have good ol’ Ronnie Raygun to thank for that. I just read in an older book (from 1991, which shows this is not some knee-jerk reaction from right-wingers), that The Heritage Foundation actually had a Mandate for Leadership 1981 (Project 2025 is currently The Heritage Foundation’s Mandate for Leadership), and Reagan adopted many of it’s “mandates”, one of which was cutting funds to education which resulted in what we now call the “Dumbing Down of America”, because they had determined (correctly) that less-educated people are easier to manipulate. (Sorry for the run-on sentence). And that is exactly why trump told his crowd “I love the poorly educated”. Now, Project 2025 wants to completely eliminate the Department of Education and make almost all schools (as in “white kid’s” schools) a voucher program for Charter schools (Christian-run).
