@Aspirintax Guilting people is not a positive method to get anyone to help you. The people who were able to escape Germany in WWII didn’t cause their country to lose. It was their insane leader who caused that. And, he has a family. I think they take priority over strangers.

@BOSAIBOSAIBOSAIBOSAI Yeah, I always say that Americans have a serious problem with “celebrity”. They think if someone can get famous in the movies or on TV, they must make a great President. SMH! Think Reagan as well as trump. And, even Arnold Schwarzenegger as governor of California. All were terrible, although many people still think Reagan was great, when in reality, he was a monster, and Arnold seems like a really nice guy in person, but he nearly wrecked California’s economy.

@inferiorinferno8859 I understand and agree with that, but the U.S. has never had to face this clear a threat of fascism before. We always thought our country and our Constitution were safe until trump came along, not to mention his “helpers” in such institutions as the Supreme Court.

@dracodraco1982 It’s pretty typical cult behavior, and the internet has made it even easier to spread the hate and vitriol. I think some people are just more immune to that thinking, as evidenced by the many people here in just a comment section. Thank whatever that we are able to keep our minds safe and not easily manipulable. Must be intelligence and/or education, and I think imagination and curiosity also play a big part.

If you can, and you want to, then go! You can’t save everyone, but you must save your family. That is your most important personal obligation. As ajohnymous said of himself, I’m also undoubtedly stuck, but I wouldn’t consider stopping anyone from leaving. Go, and I wish you well. Go, and have a great life. God speed. Maybe start an organization to help Americans re-build, afterward.

@sharimeline3077 Dictionaries are great, aren’t they? And available on any mobile phone for free. I’ve got a U.S. Constitution on mine, too (also free). They both have come in handy so many times. Too bad so few people truly enjoy using them.

@dumptruck_babs Please tell her to make absolutely, 100% sure she doesn’t get pregnant. That’s not a morality statement, it’s a personal safety statement. Especially in a red state. They’re now putting women in prison for having miscarriages. It’s terrifying.

@Azrael_Garou No, no we are definitely not. Only about a third of us are seriously MAGA, a third of us don’t seem to want to know anything about anything, and the rest of us are very anti-trump and MAGA, and we are working hard to dismantle the hold they have on our government. This last third WILL succeed one day.

@peterdollins3610 My first choice would be New Zealand, but they have very restrictive immigration policies, and not many Americans would be able to fit their requirements.

@FrozEnbyWolf150-b9t That’s exactly the situation I’m in (except for caring for someone else), so my only choice is to stay and fight in whatever way I’m able. At this time, that is just sharing useful and helpful information, but I will have to ride it out doing that.
