@terryoquinn8199 The only way, and the best way to fight this is to vote all the red party big guns (from trump to congresspeople to governors, and even school board members) OUT. I’m afraid these old southern attitudes won’t be gone for a long, long time, but when we have Democrats in all offices, they will at least be less vocal, and things will quiet down.

I am a 74 yo white woman who, unfortunately, grew up in the South (I was moved to FL when I was nine years old and there were still “white only” and “colored only” signs at water fountains and bus stationsand lunch counters, and even at 9 years old I was shocked. I always felt I had been dropped into an alternate universe or the Twilight Zone. I had lived in the north before that), and I completely agree with you. I have seen so much ugliness, and it still sickens me. When I saw the Confederate flag being carried through the halls of Congress on January 6, I almost threw up. It just reminded me of so much awefullness that I had witnessed. I’m so glad I left the South when I could, although, sadly, I have also seen it in other states. Much love to you. @donaldnewman5836 Harriet Tubman was a black woman who created the Underground Railroad. If you’re referring to the famous quote “Ain’t I a woman?”, that was said by Soujourner Truth, a black woman who was speaking before a women’s rights convention.

Because there is NO good defense. It is literally indefensible. It is disgusting and disgraceful, and it’s an embarrassment to our country.
