  1. Hey, Texas Paul, I remember having to watch Reefer Madness in junior high school (which I think they’re now calling middle school now). I laughed my a** off through the whole thing. Just showing my age here.

  3. It never fails to amaze me how politicians (esp. Libertarians) like Rand Paul will talk about how “we’ve got people who are going hungry and people who are trying to get out from behind poverty” as a weapon against a spending bill, but when people actually need help, say after a huge storm and flooding, even in their own state, oh no, eff ‘em, & they’ve got to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps, even though their bootstraps have been cracked and broken from overuse, or washed down the river in the flood, along with the boots themselves. Maybe he really feels a “spiritual connection” with Ayn Rand’s last name, but to adopt her economic theories is cruel, and actually kills people, so he’s got no room to be sanctimonious about poverty, or how we could save Americans money.
