Too bad HIS family stuck together by not saying a word to her parents, whom they had to have known pretty well, about where their daughter, who had lived with them, might be. They stuck together to hide their son and give him a head start to escape justice. I understand wanting to protect their son - to an extent - but when you know he has murdered someone who he claimed to love and who has lived in your house, sorry, but that’s just wrong. They’ve also got a daughter, and I can’t help but wonder how they would feel if she went missing and the parents of her boyfriend/fiancé with whom she was traveling, people who they know, wouldn’t say a word about it to them. Personally, if it were my daughter, I’d be camping on their front lawn beseeching them for any scrap of information. They are nothing but self-involved swamp trash (probably where Brian gets his narcissism from). I hope there will be serious charges against them.

@tombryan1 I understand your thought process, but the tattoos they got were the same as the tattoo(s) Gabby had, and they got them in her honor, so that says that they thought it over and all agreed to do it in remembrance of her. While it might not be what I would do in their situation (although I might. I haven’t ever been in that situation, and can’t even begin to imagine what I might do if I were), but I see why they did, and think it’s pretty cool. And they showed them off to the press in the hopes that everyone will remember Gabby. Also, I think the parents who are exceedingly weird and suspect are Brian’s. They knew Gabby well, and she lived with them (and also knew her parents), but they are so protective of their son that they will leave her parents twisting in the wind not knowing where she might be and never saying a single word to them to ease their mind or even give information about where she might be? That’s just psycho. If I were his parent, even loving him, if I knew he murdered his girlfriend, I’d be calling the FBI and her parents within 20 minutes. I have a feeling Brian gets his narcissism from one of his parents, probably his father, who, I speculate, has controlled the family situation from the moment Brian returned home in Gabby’s van, but without Gabby. That is not “normal” parental behavior.

@tombryan1 One more thing, yes, they MIGHT make a wax figure of her with wings for the front porch. While I have not personally lost a child, my parents did when my brother was killed at 19 and I was 11, and I can tell you that it changed them (or at least my mother) forever, as well as changing many of my attitudes, thoughts and ideas for the rest of my life. It was disastrous for our family from that day forward, and was one of the biggest reasons I decided not to have children. You can’t predict, or, possibly, even understand how a parent, or sister, or brother, will react or change when faced with such a loss. After my family situation, I have a tremendous amount of sympathy for Gabby’s family. They’re going to have some very difficult days and years ahead of them.
