I’m not an archaeologist, but I’ve spent some time in the Yucatán, and, besides all the ancient cities Tere, if you just look at the people Tere, you can immediately tell that the Spaniards did not wipe them all out. There are MANY direct descendants there. Just like the Native Americans p, although there ight be more Maya, and possibly Aztecs, in Mexico. And in one state in Central Mexico, Tlaxcala, may of the people still speak Nahuatl, the Aztec language from childhood. It’s such a fascinating and beautiful country.
