@SMtWalkerS Yes. I was there in those days, and I remember very well how she literally killed the Equal Rights Amendment, and we were so close. And now, we STILL don’t have the ERA in the Constitution.

Speaking of the Romney family, isn’t it ironic that after Virginia became the 38th state to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in 2020, it was Mitt Romney who led the charge in Congress against putting it into the Constitution? And because of that, only a couple of years later the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. If we had had the ERA in the Constitution, they could not have done that. But, of course, they (the Republicans in Congress) were very aware of that. So, you could almost say that Phyllis Schlafly was responsible for that, too, even though she was dead by then.
