@deloressmith6294 According to other comments on this thread, a lot of people think she’s also responsible because she knew what he was doing, and some think she might have also done similar things, and “the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree”, which is stupid since she even spoke to the police about him. One person said they live in the area and that people there shun her. That’s old school, and Old South (and I grew up in the South and with an Appalachian background, so I’ve seen and known my share of that kind of people) almost tribal kind of thinking, not to mention very ignorant. Everybody seems to think they understand the human psyche, but they’re just armchair philosophers. I have great sympathy for this woman who obviously grew up very poor, not well educated at all, and having someone like that for a father, and being questioned and tormented for most of her life because of it. What a terrible burden to carry for so many years. I hope she has found some peace and happiness in her life.
