The thing that makes me the maddest is they don’t care a whit about all these women who are literally dying because of these bans, which was the reason Roe v. Wade was passed in the first place. The maternal mortality rate in Texas, immediately after the ban, jumped up to 58%! And those rates have gone up in ALL the red states that banned abortion. And many of these women who are dying were already married and planned for that baby, so the “she should have kept her knees together” argument doesn’t work for those women, or their husbands who also wanted those babies. Also, many women who have died already had children at home, so they’re causing all those children to be motherless. Also the “Pro-Lifers”don’t seem to care that babies already dead in the womb CANNOT be saved, period, and many who the doctors know can’t possibly live past an hour or two after birth, CANNOT be saved, but, even if their mothers also die, they don’t care, because they “might save thousands of babies” by making abortion illegal, but they aren’t saving that many babies, even though they like to think they are. They just take all the numbers of abortions not done, and call them “saved babies”, even when they’re not, and so many of those mothers have died. That doesn’t sound “Pro-Life” to me at all. This is why I have become literally anti-religious, because those hypocritical beliefs are what have caused so much of this. And “good old Patriarchy” has caused this because just about all religions have caused patriarchal beliefs. However, I’m glad that I learned that Judaism has determined that, in the case of a choice between the life of the mother or the “baby”, the life of the mother must take primary importance because she already has a life. There are no guarantees that the baby will live. There are so many things that can go wrong. And these “Pro-Lifers” seem to think that every time a woman becomes pregnant, she’s guaranteed a beautiful, perfect live baby, but people with ANY intelligence knows that does not always happen, even if she wants that to happen. Even if she doesn’t want a child, she shouldn’t be forced to have one, especially if she can’t afford to feed it. They only want more children for the military, esp. on the front lines where they’ll be killed anyway, and their future workforce, while continually building and improving robots to take the place of those workers. Make it make sense!
