@onedominant “Sewed her shut” is a very inaccurate (and probably old-fashioned) and misleading phrase. They probably gave her a hysterectomy, which is the removal of the uterus, and sometimes, also the ovaries.

@space_veggies Yeah, but white girls and women will still be able to get pregnant because they’re really the only ones they want to force to have babies. They just haven’t yet figured out how to tell the public that they’re only going to keep the black and brown women from getting pregnant.

@lefty-bw1zp I don’t think he displayed any symptoms of his illness until early adulthood. I don’t think genetic testing was advanced enough at the time of his birth, or during his mother’s pregnancy to determine that he was carrying the gene. (But I haven’t seen the movie).

@caoimhedaly7262 That’s why they passed the abortion ban, while masking it as a “Christian” or “moral” issue to save “the precious babies”. They only want to save the white ones, preferably from Protestent mothers.

@mikedrones537 It sounds as if you think that the only people needing abortions are ones who have made poor choices in their lives, and not the thousands of women, married women, who wanted a baby, planned for a baby and even decorated a nursery for their baby only to find out that the fetus has a horrible medical condition that is incompatible with life, and the only treatment (that’s not likely to literally kill her) is removing the fetus from her body, which, literally, is the definition of an “abortion”. And, if that can’t be done because of the law, the dead fetus (if it dies early, which it often does) will literally rot inside her body, causing sepsis, which is bodywide infection in the mother, which is more than likely to kill her. Which, I guess, you think she deserves because she made the “poor choice” to get pregnant, even though she (and her husband) wanted to. This is happening in red states now. And women ARE dying (see the stats in red states of cases of maternal mortality rates rising). Do you really think ALL abortions are done because “loose women” aren’t keeping their knees together? You people who think everyone should live by your religious or social morals are actually killing women.

@conscientiousobjector5988 There is no such thing as “post-birth abortions”. That would be called infanticide, as in murder, as in illegeal, and no doctor would do that. Don’t buy the lies.

@itsblitz4437 No it’s not. There’s no relationship at all. Eugenics are a form of contraception to prevent “certain types of women” from getting pregnant in the future, not for removing a fetus.

@nickmoore9643 We are NOT pro-abortion in America. Something like 70% of Americans say that women should have a right to choice, and reproductive health care. And “we” are not pro-abortion in Israel because Israel is a separate country and makes its own laws, and “we” have nothing to say about it.

@Agimus_AGO56 And very often abortion is not the first choice for women. It is very often because of health reasons, as the fetus is incompatible with life (it will die quickly anyway, or is already dead) and will kill the mother if not removed. Those mothers wanted and planned for those babies. Around 90% of the abortions done out of choice are done in the first 15 weeks of pregnancy.

@reneeschnarr6260 Yes, because the word “heartbeat” at that time in pregnancy is a misnomer. There is no heart developed at that time. There is only electrical activity in the group of cells that will someday become a heart.

@TheEverFreeKing They’re not “babies” until they’re born and take their first breath. Even the Bible says so in Genesis, about Adam.
