Thank you. I’ve been saying this for the last several months (obviously not the part about this recent shooter, but it should be obvious that “events” like this would, and still will happen). I’ve also been saying that the January 6 Insurrection was a “trial run”, maybe not for those who were there that day, but to the planners, and something, possibly much worse will happen again this coming January. We are in for a bumpy few months, and I think we all need to keep our eyes wide open wherever we go, and, as the saying goes: “If you see something (especially on Election Day) Say something. Have your Voter’s Registration Office number on speed-dial if you go into one of the long lines and into a polling place. Be prepared to call them and the police if you see anyone who is questioning voters about their eligibility (ask them if they are certified to be able to do that) or if anyone is acting strangely.

@donjindra Just remember how Mussolini (and Hitler) ended up. You can Google the photo of Mussolini’s “end”. I don’t think they ever found all the pieces of Hitler to photograph.

@schnozchan6606 I’m so glad they were still teaching that when you were in high school. It seems that a lot of people were never taught about that, because, otherwise, how are so many people even MAGA? I just don’t get it.

@lakorai2 Most everyone who isn’t an already established fascist ruler, or riding on trump’s coattails, is mild in comparison. And JD Vance is at least as bad as him. He just has no “charisma”.

Thank you for this, Leeja. More people need to hear it. I voted for Kamala last week in a drop-box ballot, and because I live in CA, they already sent me an email telling me that my ballot was received and counted! As I am a senior who grew up shortly after WWII, and my father was military (USAF), I grew up learning about the horrors of fascism and Hitler’s reign of terror, so I “saw trump coming”, as the saying goes. And, obviously, as he grew in power, and felt even more comfortable saying what he was thinking, those similarities continued to grow. It seems that somehow, in the 70s or 80s young people in the U.S. quit learning about Hitler and fascism (could it have been because of the educational system??), because if they knew anything about it, I don’t see how they could possibly vote for trump. Just yesterday, I got the absolute strangest reply to a comment I made about trump and fascism on a YouTube video, and someone actually replied, “It won’t be so bad. You’ll get used to it.” Dear god! That reminded of something a psychopath in a movie would say to his victim right before he mutilates them.
