And the #1 cause of homelessness in America today is inability to pay exorbitant medical bills, usually because of an unexpected accident or disease, so healthcare costs figure prominently in conversations about poverty.

And those of us who are trying to get by on Social Security are bringing in at or less than $15,000 per year, but some of those “good guys” in Congress want to take it away from us completely. But it was my money (and my employer’s) that paid into it. I also feel that, since I’m supposed to sign my SS card, it became a contract with the government who laid out, and promised, my benefits in relation to the money I earned while working.

And I’ll bet your fare is usually higher than your husbands, right? Maybe only a few cents, but it adds up. Just like women driver’s pay comes out to be 7% less than men driver’s pay. Same old discrimination.

@chieftain5571 In expensive jurisdictions, a family of three SHOULD be eligible for food stamps at $48,000. A family of three bringing in $48,000 won’t be eating well or living well in the Hamptons, not to mention the cost of the child’s schooling there.

That’s exactly what I was just thinking. It undoubtedly hurts regular, free folks, especially young people in school and poor women, especially with children, just trying to get by in the everyday world. So it hurts both the prisoners who should get parole, as well as the townspeople, but it only benefits the corporations and the prisons. Yeah, Kay Ivey is such a peach (sarcasm).

@ScarletAdhesive The farmers simply don’t want to sell. It’s their family farm, it’s what they’ve known, and it’s what they love, and what they and their families have invested their lives in.

@jayklink851 Just like airlines (and other corporations). The plane crashes, 230 people die…it’s all part of the cost of doing business. They might as well say out loud, “move along folks, nothing to see here. It’s just another day doing business in ‘the greatest country in the world’”. It’s sickening.

@spyder001 But doesn’t Eminent Domain have to have been established in the past, before the original sale of the property, or noted in ensuing sales, and it’s usually done by the government for a government project. Isn’t that what “eminent means”? (As in “previously established”). Not sure if I’m right on that, but that was what I thought. Maybe I’ll have to dig deep into Google and Wiki. And it also seemed to me to be a way the government fixed a property sale so that they could take said property back (“steal”) from the newer owners. If I’m correct, doesn’t that mean that these corporations are attempting to act like the government, in that they are considering themselves their own government.

@echonomix_ How about we start with Democratic Socialism (like the Scandinavian countries) and skip the rest. Bernie is right!

Well done video. I hope this reaches many people. And I hope we start making some BIG changes.

I’m looking forward to what actually happened, and how. It was way too fast. Funny, but it smells real fishy. And I’m not at all a conspiracy theorist.

Yeah, “We already have all the votes we need”.nobody asked him what that meant. But, here we are.

OK, Trump’s anger attracted them, but what did he do for them in the four years he was in office? Andy Beshear may have helped them, but did trump do anything for them? I can understand changing your ticket because of a new voice, but if that person didn’t make ANY difference in your life, but just gave you a different target for your anger (immigrants) why stick with him?

@aliannarodriguez1581 Yes, that was in the 50s under Eisenhower. Which is why we didn’t have any billionaires back then. (Like Bernie Sanders said, “America doesn’t need billionaires”. We should have listened to him). Then Nixon started bringing it down to pander to the wealthy, then Reagan just blew it all out of the water and gave the wealthy almost everything they wanted, and every Republican president has kept lowering their taxes ever since.

@Joe-pc3hs And yet it has been proven, and published, that Russia DID mess with it, but, apparently, only in Social Media.

I feel like I’m starting to see a trend here of various takeovers by the wealthy of previously established areas of commerce and politics. It reminds me of how the Heritage Foundation and the GOP have simply decided they want to take over the entire political system in the U.S. so that only Republicans will run every single “elected” office in the country from now until forever, and they will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Also, I’m seeing similarities in how certain real estate groups are buying up houses and just sitting on them until they have a whole area until they can jack up the price sky high. Also, I learned a while ago that Bill Gates is now the single largest farmland property owner in the country. I’m wondering what his plan is for all that farmland. Being a “tech billionaire”, it seems like he’s likely to be planning something similar. It all just seems like there’s a massive takeover by billionaires that’s going on right under our radar, and under our noses.

@dvdv8197 Exactly!

@princessnailz5832 Yup. Look…a squirrel!

@brandonspencer7093 Because Trump took away the regulations on the train corporations. That government.

@cac2821 And there weren’t as many chemicals, especially addictive ones to keep people smoking - for the corporation’s profits.

That’s undoubtedly why Bernie Sanders said, “America doesn’t need billionaires”. They all seem to adopt the Libertarian attitude of “I can do anything I want, and nobody can infringe on my right to do it”. My family is all originally from WV, so I know what you mean about strip-mining. It’s the “destroy everything in my way so I can get what I want” philosophy.

Excellent video. Thank you for this information. Every American should know about this.

And he’ll have the nuclear codes.

Don’t forget that Project 2025 was written by the Heritage Foundation, which is also essentially a Catholic right-wing ultra-religious organization, also with LOTS of money, probably much of which came from the same donors.
