@diane Taylor If the study were done only in the U.S., then that would certainly make sense, as, at least up until recently the majority of mothers here did circumcise their sons, but that is starting to change. But if it were an international study, I don’t know that ‘most’ men in other countries are circumcised. Much of it depends on their religion, as in Jews circumcise their boys, but I think Muslims do not, and there are many countries in the world that are primarily Muslim. Also, many European boys are not circumcised, either, as well as those in Latin American countries. I’d like to see an international breakdown of percentages of men internationally, and by which countries, who are circumcised vs. uncircumcised. It would be interesting. But I do agree that it would be more likely for women to prefer men who fit into the “norm” of their country, or follow the majority of their country’s practices as that would be what they’re used to, including what they’re seen in pictures, as women do see a fair amount of photos of men’s, um, “stuff”.
