  2.  @cosimodalessio642  Apparently I’m not the only one who took your question at face value, as others have also answered. I was really just quoting my mother who always told me to get the dictionary every time I asked her what a word meant. I now thank her for that, as I think it made me a more intelligent person (not bragging, just saying, as in having gained knowledge [and, no, I don’t think I’m brilliant or smarter than everyone else] because I now use the dictionary every day, even just to check a word I think I already know, just to see if it also has other, related meanings, plus things like pronunciation, derivation, synonyms, antonyms, etc.). Besides, “specious” is a TERRIFIC word, and it’s great to see it in its full definition. P.s. You’re welcome.
