  2. I’ve also donated my body to our local medical university. I did it in honor of my dad, who loved all things science and wanted to donate his body, but couldn’t because there was no medical university close enough to where he lived. I hope the people working on my corpse get as excited about learning as you. You’ll (they’ll) find a lot of funny things (especially steel hardware) as I’ve had a neck (excuse me, cervical) surgery plus three back surgeries (lumbar to thoracic), as well as a lobectomy and chemo, and you’re not kidding about how hard chemo is in the human body! (The back surgeries were related to that, plus it caused me to become diabetic). I’m glad I quit it early, as I absolutely knew it was going to kill me. Funny thing about quitting chemo: here I am 14 years later.
