Thank you, Jane! Jane Eliott is a national treasure. So glad she mentioned that “Black women will be the ones who will lead us out of this mess”. Especially as they embody the double handicap/vulnerability of being both Black and being women. More women, of all colors, need to step up and speak out because what Jane and Roland both said about how White people don’t want Black people to succeed into the highest realms of society because they’re afraid the Black people would treat the White people the same way the White people have historically treated Black people. I’m of the opinion that the same concept can be used regarding women: men don’t want women to have equal rights (they’re STILL fighting against it in Congress and court right now!), and they don’t want women to run the country because the men are afraid the women will treat them the same way men have treated women for centuries. That’s why I’m extremely dismayed that there seems to be a racism problem in the feminist movement at present. It MUST be driven out, because ALL women, all colors, all ages and income levels need to work together in order to promote women into ALL of the top positions in the country, from corporations, all types of media, and all levels of politics, from dog-catcher to City Council to Mayors to Governorships to Congress and to President, plus all levels of judgeships (which is doing pretty well in that department at the moment!) including SCOTUS, the FBI, CIA, the DOJ, the Pentagon and the military, and everything in between, including running healthcare and Social Programs, like Social Security. Now I know all too well that sometimes women don’t always “play well together”, but we’ll have to figure out how to correct that, and make it work, for ourselves, for each other and for all the people of the country, for a better, stronger, richer, happier and healthier nation.

@melodyjanes9141 That’s why I never had children. All those women telling me I “should” and all the reasons why, so I just said, “and are YOU going to help pay for them to go to school, eat, have a place to live, extra programs like music, plus a musical instrument, sports equipment, etc., etc., etc.? Funny, but they could/would never answer that, when I was working two jobs just to pay rent on a studio apartment, utilities, and food, student loan, car payments, gas, etc., etc., etc. for just myself. (And no, my college education didn’t help me get a good job because after two years the federal government changed its loan rules, so I had to drop out, but I still had to keep paying off the two years that I did have). All this is also completely besides the fact that I simply didn’t want children (for about a hundred different reasons).

Good for that newscaster for calling the moron out, publicly! As it should be. Here’s a quick mention about Andrew Clyde: the first time I ever heard about him was when he was live in a hallway question session by a news person, with him propping up the J6 people, saying that it was “only a regular tour of the Capitol”, and then a video of him, on the House (or Senate) floor, during the certification process when the rioters were trying to break into that room, and some of the congresspeople were pushing furniture against the doors to keep them out, and guess who was one of those men pushing the furniture in front of the doors? Yup, Andrew Clyde! I always wonder if he “normally” has to push furniture in front of the doors to keep out regular “tours” when Congress is in session. The man is a complete moron. BTW, I’m a white woman, and I will ALWAYS stand up and speak out against anyone who makes racist, sexist or exclusionary comments about ANY group of people who are just trying to live their lives in peace.
