  1. What shocks me is that people are shocked to be told that trump will destroy our country. Haven’t they been listening for the last nine or so years?? Or even the last year? I thought he’s been making it VERY clear what he wants to do, and how those things will destroy the country. He has always been spewing Hitleresque rhetoric, and cozying up to foreign dictators, and I thought it was obvious from his first election that he wants to be a dictator, and it’s not like I have the mind of an Albert Einstein. I mean I’m not gravely stupid, but he pretty much spelled out his leanings years ago. What I was always shocked about was that people would hear him speak then cheer and applaud. People who were born and raised in the same country as me, and were supposedly told the same things about our country’s history and political system. All I can figure is that the theory of the “dumbing down of America” was a very real thing and not just a conspiracy theory. And, if it was real, and purposeful, (and I know now that it was) it was swimmingly successful. But, hey, it was a fairly nice country while we had it. Sad to think it could have been made even so much better, but there are greedy, power-grabbing people and politicians (and corporations, judges and think tanks - I’m looking at you, Heritage Foundation) who want ALL the money and power enough to destroy the whole thing. And all trump had to do to achieve it was to tap into all the hatred and frustration of the dumbest Americans.
