  1.  @williamsimmons152 , mine started after I took the very first pill of a new prescription (Gabapentin, I believe), so I looked up the possible side effects, and yup, ringing in ears was there, so I quit the pills immediately. Unfortunately, the ringing never went away (it’s been about 7 years now), and I don’t think it ever will. It just keeps getting worse and I have no idea why. Sometimes it’s so loud that I have to ask my husband to speak louder because I can’t hear him over the ringing. I hate it.

  2. Yes, sometimes it’s so loud I think another person, “can’t you hear that”? But, of course, they can’t. It can be maddening.
