@Iamagoddes He “loves” the poorly educated because they’re easy to manipulate. He also recently told them “I just want your vote. I don’t care about you; I just want your vote”. Funny how they didn’t really understand the reality of his comment. It might be the only honest thing he’s ever said in his life.

@fldave612 Good point. Gingrich was an AH. But I was primarily thinking about Reaganomics, with the “trickle down theory which nearly destroyed our economy, along with the program known as “the Dumbing Down of America”, which was brought to Reagan by the Koch brothers and put into action by Reagan (yes, it was a real thing. It had to do with the choosing of which books would be approved for all the schools in the education system). It’s why trump said “I love the poorly educated”, because those guys (the Koch brothers) knew that poorly educated people are much easier to manipulate, and why the similar folks who created Project 2025 want to eliminate the Department of Education. Things actually started going downhill with Nixon, but Reagan really put it into overdrive. Then, W. (Bush Jr.) didn’t improve things either. And then there was Trump. We’ve got some serious digging out to do to even get back to “normal”, whatever that might even mean now.

@Iamagoddes Yeah, when he said, “We’ve got the votes; we fixed it, it’s all fixed”, it sent chills up my spine. I could imagine a mob boss saying “the fix is in”, because he thinks like a mob boss.
