The part that concerns me the most is the poll that came out after the convictions when they asked people if they’d be more likely or less likely to vote for him because of the convictions, and about 14-16% of the people answered more likely (fortunately, about 2% more voted less likely). I simply can’t wrap my head around the fact that ANYONE would be more likely to vote for someone- for President, mind you) BECAUSE he had been convicted. How does someone make any sense of that?? That’s sheer lunacy.

  2. ⁠​⁠ @vestafreyja As someone who is in the U.S., you are absolutely correct, and I agree with you about the second part. Unfortunately, there are those in this country, whether due to simple ignorance or “willful (weaponized) ignorance” do not agree, but I believe they will publicly be proven to be wrong. We often, but not always, do that. The ones who are simply ignorant will decry the proof forever, but the willfully ignorant will simply ignore it and quickly switch to yelling another lie, as in “look, squirrel!” But, it’s most often used to create a delay, and trump LOVES delays almost as much as he loves money. Delays sometimes get the whole thing thrown out, so he loves playing the odds. But he needs to remember that he managed to bankrupt a couple of his casinos (and that happens very rarely in the casino world, hence the saying “the House always wins”), so he’s not too smart with the odds. Well, he’s really not too smart about much.

  3. ⁠​⁠ @jaygee5693 I agree with most of your comment, but I won’t feel like he has been brought to justice until he actually gets put in prison for a fairly lengthy sentence, which is exactly what would happen to any of the rest of us not wealthy or powerful people if we committed similar crimes.
