  1.  @AtamMardes  I always hear this used as an argument against the Bible... clearly you dont know that slavery was an honourable job at that time. One could sell themselves into servitude and then would be treated like family by the master, also these terms of slavery and master meant different things back then. Just search up what you just wrote and your counter against the bible will be debunked immediately.

Parents could beat their own kids without repercussions until about 15 years ago, now its strongly looked down upon and considered wrong in many ways, even telling your own kid they aren't trans as an infant is considered abuse and morally wrong... how do you think they would treat children over 2000 years ago? Also, pick up a history book, slavery has hardly ever even been questioned until a few centuries ago, why should i believe anyone regardless of status was treated better than the slaves mentioned 2000 years ago when nearly any altercation was righteously solved through assault and/or murder. Your argument is one I see a lot, being braindead enough to apply modern morals and definitions to a backward society over 2000 years ago, but currently i am too busy and lazy to respond to an average reddit atheist . Just go search up Bible slave counter on youtube or something lol be resourceful kid, also be realistic, we arent talking about last century here, completely different concept of slavery and society has since changed to an incalculable extent.
