  1. He may be an example, but he is also likely to be corrupt. If you play along, they protect you, knowing your guilt/weakness and using it against you when you are no longer useful for party leaders.

  2. True. He only gave a "hoot" after he experienced his own policy in action. I actually respect him for speaking up eventually...though he did his best to deflect as well, but at least hevspoke honestly at some point.
