  2. China's economy is crumbling, and the real estate industry is hit particularly hard. People don't have money to invest in property anymore, and as the population dwindles and as the younger generations are adopting a more western lifestyle (renting apartments instead of buying), this trend will only exacerbate. I know that ghost towns exist all over China, but from what I heard they're especially common in 2nd and 3rd tier cities of North China. The north of China has no future, and I don't encourage anyone to invest in North China apart from maybe the capital Beijing.
