Tim Fisher Belt buckle is in the middle, buttons are off-centre as they are meant to be.
1
Belt buckle is centred, look again and compare to his tie which is the middle. The buttons are deliberately off centre to the left.
1
@equinoxproject2284 I am right
1
Tim Keeley Explain then.
1
George Royden It’s a rank, not a name.
1
BAXON HAIR Looks a bit silly, come one now. They can’t do it in person can they.
1
You have no idea what you are talking about do you.
1
Stu Hall A waste of time. You are aware of the many roles that the carrier will perform which will be of benefit? If you think warships or carriers are just about aggression then you need to step away.
1
One week is good, I, family and friends have had much less over the last two decades.
1
@eurogoalshow5071 Yes for 9 months or longer, especially for submarines for my father
1
@henryvagincourt4502 Why do you declare that you are ex RN? It makes no difference to the comment or the weight of the comment. Times change like every other organisation out there, new people with new ideas who don’t just think it was better in my day. Move on.
1
@Drew Peacock Every country in the world has sailed a carrier without aircraft. They are not required for the mission so they aren’t needed. Pointless to put aircraft on when there is no use. Soldiers don’t carry their CBRN kit at all times, only when needed. Odd to call me a dipstick when you haven’t put an argument forward in response to points above.
1
The belt buckle is centred and the buttons are off centre deliberately. You can see this the buttons are to the left of the tie which is central like the belt.
1
jack cloud Don’t look ready because they are marching perhaps... Come on get a grip, if they were preparing for war, which there are members of the navy right now doing so through training exercises, they wouldn’t be marching. If you grew up around people who have been to the Falklands you would know that the Royal Navy prepare and train for war differently to the army for example.
1
@airhab Times of war are completely different to everyday life.
1
Name a country with a powerful Navy that doesn't have poverty. It wasn't end poverty or have two carriers for the budget. Stupid comment with no thought or evidence.
1
Measure distance
1
Meirion Owen Just you
1
Meirion Owen I can see it most mornings when in port. Odd assumption to make.
1
Daniel Wilkins The Army doesn’t force this upon soldiers.
1
Ron Bromhead They do know, but when your in the forces, the tailors, it’s hard to keep up when no one tells you. Also, as an independent business they dint need to follow the exact names,
1
RafaelBeast That’s not the reason for the event.
1
1chish A question isn’t indicated by a capital letter, only a question mark. Second of all, you didn’t finish the second paragraph with a full stop. Last of all, you try to quote Jonathan but fail as you started the attempted quote well but never closed the attempted quote with a quotation mark.
1
No, buttons are deliberately off centre on the uniform to the right. The belt buckle is in the middle like the tie.
1
Kurio71 Yes at present for the RN.
1
Genghis Kong Not a punishment, men and women sign up for this exact role.
1
freeman bill Explain.
1
freeman bill Very weak point considering most warships spend more time not physically fighting.
1
Not a guard.
1
artiew87 In the same way that all it takes to hack anything is one person.
1
Joselito Villegas No they aren’t, this isn’t also a mission.
1
Please explain.
1
@ffudon No response when confronted with the truth, shock.
1
American armed forces do as much drill as the UK, it’s not publicised as much. The British army teaches the same skills, the uk armed forces are known for its educational deployments.
1
tony james At no point were sailors up to their neck in water.
1
Ellis Hinton You have a very low threshold of ‘lure’.
1
Training online due to a pandemic, cost cutting wasn’t the first priority here.
1
There is no evidence to show that anyone has collapsed because of tradition. People collapse because of not moving enough or how the blood flows in your body as a result of eating a large meal.
1
You need to look into OCD if you think is it, common stereotype. The point is to carry on the tradition, measuring a distance while maintaining discipline and personal standards of uniform.
1
patrick beecroft The belt is centred as it should be, the buttons are off centre as they should be.
1
Chris chomley smyth Yes of course
1
Matthew Lonsdale The adverts last year were very successful if you look at the results.
1
Just-in Case Move on, it’s not a hoax. Germany and South Korea have had very few deaths due to effective action and planning.
1
Brendan Harcourt The Navy are part of the armed forces and more than the RAF if you’re going to judge and exclude. Women have taken drill for decades from all forces.
1
Dance Fever QE shouldn’t be nuclear powered. We wouldn’t have been able to afford one carrier let alone two if nuclear powered. Her range is enough to get her from Portsmouth to Sydney with fuel left so not a problem especially when you have the worlds best replenishment service, the RFA. Being nuclear powered would prevent us from visiting over 40% of the worlds ports which happen to be mostly commonwealth too. It’s more expensive to maintain plus the mid life refuelling would take both carriers out of action for years with nothing else. Ask the French how their nuclear aircraft carrier is getting along in the long run.
1
tigerarmyrule Yes, Able because they have passed training. Makes sense.
1
LETS GO Your comment implies that the carrier has no defences and that there are no surrounding defences. Under the same principle it would be game over for every Navy in the world as every developed nation as ICBM’s. Stupid comment.
1
bigone1ism How do you she doesn’t have one.
1
Rob W Both are in service and have been for a while. There is no space being wasted to accommodate female crew at all, where did you get that nonsense from?
1
Rob W You do realise how old this video is?
