  3. WatchDog Both carriers don't run on Windows XP, it was a rumour that they were but they aren't. Article related to that is on the UK Defence journal's website. The majority of carriers around the world aren't nuclear powered for a reason. Having a nuclear powered ship in a small navy is stupid, they require times ashore for the reactor and they have high maintenance costs and time aside for that, not ideal for a small navy. It wouldn't be problem if the carriers did run on XP, that system is still used all around the world for a reason. The software can be customised, making it more effective and safe as it's been changed for a specific standard that no one else uses.
