After four years living in New York, Obama moved to Chicago to work as aĀ community organizer. But many global forces dictate oil and gasoline prices, which are largely set in international markets, not inside any nationās borders. Plus, the policies set during any one presidential term often take years to make an impact in the real economy, and are sometimes changed when administrations turn over.
Going all the way back to 1976, we've had 8 presidents. The lowest average gas price during a four year term was under Bill Clinton, $2.04. Our economy always does better under democratic administrations, why is that?
