@UnconventionalReasoning The direction of gravity would be become increasingly oblique the further away from the centre that you are. Even in Europe & North America people would be standing at a noticeable angle to the ground.

I gather the Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus website is used in teaching about fact-checking if that helps.

@UnconventionalReasoning "The gravitational field is not always aligned to the center of gravity" Under what circumstances?

@jquest99 Analagous to an ellipse having two focii?
2
@UnconventionalReasoning The electrical filed would flow around it and have no have an effect inside; if the gravitational field was really electrostatic then you would be able to float inside the Faraday cage.
2
@UnconventionalReasoning Downwards rather than outwards; you would always be aligned to the centre of gravity. FE’ees claim they have Real Science all figured; that they can’t understand what you’re saying much less answer indicates they haven’t.

@jquest99 Centre of gravity or centre of the object?
1
@jquest99 That would move the COG away from the physical centre but why would it lead to a vector that isn't in alignment with the COG?
1
@UnconventionalReasoning In which can there would be substantial charge and there would "zero g" inside a Faraday cage,

As far as I am aware, you don’t need a visa to connect through a US airport.

@jimenezjuan84 Unless you’re under the visa waiver program; that’s what I was thinking about.

He was harassing Buzz to swear on a Bible and called him a liar, a thief and a coward, at which point…paf. The police officers watching saw the prelude as unreasonable aggravation.

The Sydney-Santiago flights were suspended during Covid. Since passenger traffic is still down the current flight is Auckland-Santiago. The Sydney-Santiago flights should resume later this year.
