Darren Jackson"Like the loss of the original recordings" The tapes containing the full-resolution landing broadcast have been lost, presumably by misfiling in the archives; the lower resolution still remains. "most moon rocks have been lost" You're talking about the Goodwill Moon Rocks, which were fragments from two of the rocks brought back by the Apollo missions. Half of them are unaccounted for. Nothing do to with the total amount of samples. "those left that can be tested match petrified wood" An unofficial present given to the then Dutch Prime Minister was found to be petrified wood decades down the line. "rocks from Anarctica" A lunar meteorite was found in Antarctica. how did the Astronauts throw out their backpacks from the lem??? The LEM consisted of two modules. By refilling both chambers with air the backpacks could be left in the lower chamber, the connection sealed and the astronauts leave in the upper ascent module.

"Truth is stranger than fiction." Like the colour of flame varying depending on what is being burned?

How does the firmament move up & down through the course of the day? Why are only shortwaves bouncing off it?

@areeskinwar7274 The lowest impacted against a dome but the higher altitude tests didn't?

John Fowler 1. Extremely expensive to get there to no great benefit. How much money would you be prepared to spend? 2. Do you still possess a floppy drive? 3. Many were placed in the Smithsonian and are still there. Most tapes were reused (after the data was processed) and ultimately replaced as technology moved on.

John Fowler They said we don’t currently (at the time of the interview) possess the technology to leave LEO. Apollo technology is incompatible with today’s technology; the Descent modules are sitting on the moon, ascent modules smashed in the moon, Commsnd Modules in museums and Saturn Vs burned up in the atmosphere. How many do you think are usable?

felix mendez As Curious Droid points out in this video, they have been photographed from orbit. Recording on tapes was superseded by hard drive capacity. You think tapes are superior to all other forms of data storage we use today? Why can conspiracy theorists never come up with a better belief for maintaining manned missions to the moon other than "because they can"? You can never come up with a purpose nor a means to justify the expense. Materials technology, computers and manufacturing techniques have moved on; the people with the hands-on knowledge of 1960/70s technology and Apollo construction are retired or dead. We have the blueprints for constructing Apollo craft but would have to regress to build them. That brings us back to the question of why do you think we should keep building them?

In the unlikely event there is an accidental detonation, what are the safeguards to prevent it being seen as a first strike?

@Raziel007Bey Data indicated higher amounts of molecules than expected beyond the moon but for the amount present it is still essentially a vacuum.

@russell5078084 Combustion requires oxygen; Jupiter has none so no combustion would occur.
1
@patrickelamm2890 The sun generates energy through fusion, not combustion.
1
Pat miles So...no. Jupiter lacks the mass to initiate fusion itself and what occurred from the nuclear explosion would rapidly dissipate, not create a chain reaction.

Rob Vee Longer wavelengths don’t bounce. Satellite dishes point towards the equator. You didn’t explain how the firmament could move up & down.
