@PepsiMagt The B-777 and A-330 were entering service in 1994/95 when the A-380 concept was first presented. The A3XX project was not actually launched until the end of 2000. 180 minute ETOPS was already approved in the late 1980s. So I don't see how you can blame bad timing about ETOPS for Airbus going ahead with the 380 project. Many in the industry think their desire for a halo airplane helped fuel an overestimate of the business case for the A3XX.
