@zz No, take it from welfare, healthcare, funding the arts and PBS, education, and other programs that replace individual choice and responsibility. The government is responsible for the national defense, not for supporting individuals by taking money from some and handing it out to others.

@DoRC Basic basic education is funded by local government, not the federal government. Health care and higher education should not be funded by the federal government either. You sound like a person who doesn't comprehend the constituted purpose of the federal government. Even given that purpose, If federal funding of education would educate persons such as yourself I would see some utility in it, but the government provided educational system has obviously failed.
