  1. Their motive is often Domination. One common statement referencing this is ”Owning the Libs…” They want to become “Maximum Leader” - just like the Queen Bee of a pack of “Mean Girls, all of them named Karen.”

  2. It is Important to teach discipline rightly, i.e. relating to an accurate perception of reality, and working toward a (hopefully) well-defined goal. Finally, it should not be excessively punitive or cruel. A self-punitive attitude is usually counterproductive at best. Much of the rest of the time, it goes further, toward self-destruction and furthering (parental) abuse. I first had to unlearn the (reich-wing) “discipline” pounded into me as a child before I could begin to learn what I wrote earlier - and I am still learning it, too.
