What if you only drive two or three thousand miles per year? Once a year, or more more often yet?

@TheCarCareNut thanks. I’m too poor at this time to (afford to) operate a car, but if I had one, I wouldn’t be driving much as a rule. Time over mileage, then. I’m fond of Mobil-1 lubricants (in general).

Most recent vehicle I owned - a Toyota - was of 1978 vintage. Changed oil every 3-4 thousand miles (20+ years ago), every six months…

Add some M.M.O. prior to each oil change…

@callmebackfriday2 am fond of Mobil-1 products in general. I really like their Grease and gear-oil…

Bearings are “selective fit,” i.e. small (.0002) difference in size, for purposes of establishing clearances…?

“…massive number of vacuum hoses…” I was so disgusted with the vacuum hoses on my last car that I replaced them all with Viton Tubing.

@totalcardiowithboaz8238 depends on how much you drive? Say, if you drive 200 miles a month most months? (Short distance to and from work, a much longer freeway trip to and from church once a week, a few medium trips a week to and from college…) Every six months might be 2000 miles, then?

Did the same, back when I could afford to own cars.

5k is the upper limit if you’re doing Über or similar, I suspect - and less mileage is a good idea.
