  1. Stop signs - one says “Alto,” and the other, “Stop.” That’s the immediate difference that I saw. Also, Philadelphia seemed to have less dust, more “trash,” somewhat better lighting, more air conditioners - and a certain quality that I can’t put into words, also. That quality corresponds to some places I heard about many years ago that supposedly existed in SoCal, where if you went there, and weren’t recognized by those who lived there as being one of their own, with a dwelling on site and family living there - you would be shot on sight. Both seemed to be places I’d stay well clear of. Juarez because of the presence of armed police (I’d be used as a target by them - for live action target practice - I feel this way around domestic police as well, mind) and Philadelphia because the whole place looks scary as <censored.>
