  2. There’s a less-obvious method of doing this: simply get a somewhat taller-than-than-stock filter. Did this with my first car when the stock sized filter would clog in a few thousand miles in SoCal.

  3. Oh, Good. Used to put a modest amount of M.M.O., about a third of a quart, prior to changing oil.

  5. That disk in the bottom of both of the first two sensors IS the piezoelectric disk. The spring is one of the contacts, and if it has any corrosion, it will give trouble. Also, you’ll want to use the mV setting on the meter to test for whether it’s good. A.S. Electronics, 1984.
