  2. True. The Legals have a LOT of real power - up to and including life-and-death in many circumstances - with very limited accountability. More importantly, that limited accountability is to their leaders alone. The Legals are NOT accountable to us. Couple that with their extremely insular culture - sort of like every PD is a bit like a mini N. Korea; they essentially only interact with each other as near-peers - and their Training which inculcates a state of “acquired situational narcissism” in most Legals.
