  2.  @joelee2371  Based on hearing a gun-store owner describing the behavior of these things on full-auto - as in he sounded like he was describing “the end of the world.” Based on his then-apparent age, I suspected he - like Jerry - was speaking from first hand experience. Jerry Liked his issued M14 - said it worked well. He went to Germany instead of ‘Nam, sometime in the late sixties, when I was in grade school and hadn’t yet had a chance to go for the physical. (Flunked it in ‘77, mostly due to being deaf on my right side, due to Goldenhar Syndrome.)
